Grief & Bereavement Counselling

Welcome to Louise Friend Counselling

Louise understands that everyone's experience of grief and loss is unique.  She believes loss needs to be acknowledged and witnessed for us to adapt and move forward in life, gently and with compassion.

Louise is committed to compassionate, ethical, respectful, inclusive and person-centred practice and brings this to her work with clients, with warmth and understanding.

As a certified bereavement practitioner, she has specialist knowledge and experience in grief, loss and bereavement.  Louise supports her clients to explore and navigate their individual grief journeys and helps them to discover ways to live and cope with loss and adapt to life.

Louise brings her extensive knowledge and experience in grief, loss and bereavement to all  aspects of her work - counselling, education and in the clinical supervision that she provides.

Louise helps her clients to:

  • Discover strategies for coping with symptoms of grief and loss.

  • Gain support to accept the reality of the loss and understand its significance.

  • To work through a myriad of feelings and thoughts such as sadness, confusion or guilt.

  • Discover how to re-adjust to your new life with all its changes.

  • Resolve areas of conflict remaining as you are dealing with grief.
