My Therapeutic Approach
A Tailored Approach For You
I provide a safe and respectful space to support my clients to discuss any issue they feel is worrying them or causing them distress; empowering and supporting them to make the adjustments needed for change and a more fulfilled life.
I work as a trauma informed integrative therapist, which means I am trained and experienced in a number of counselling models as appropriate for my client's individual needs and issues.
Integrative counselling takes into account a client's thoughts, feelings, perceptions, behaviours and physical experiences. It enables me to provide a holistic, collaborative approach in supporting my clients. The person-centred approach underpins all my work with clients which means that I believe clients have all the resources within them to move through their challenges. My role is to support and guide you in that process by being empathic, transparent, non-judgemental so that I can help you to trust and have the confidence in your own ability to make your own decisions and choices.
Some of the models I work from include:
-
Gestalt Therapy
-
Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
